The 2027 Linger Longer in Longmont Calendar is a wall calendar featuring Longmont events, fascinating historical tidbits about our amazing community, and local resources. For this year’s theme we chose agriculture to highlight how Longmont’s historical roots have grown our culture, economy, and connection to the land. The 2027 calendar content honors the land, growers, and agricultural heritage that shape Longmont from the past into today.
In addition to community events and canonical holiday dates, we’ve highlighted seasonal rhythms by providing a planting calendar and a moon calendar. You’ll also find fascinating facts about Longmont’s water, soil, pollinators, and agricultural development over time. And each month features the work of a local artist who has brought the theme to life with an inspired representation of connection to the natural world.
What’s with the name — “Linger Longer in Longmont”?
“Linger Longer in Longmont” is a promotional logo that the city of Longmont used back in the 1960s to drum up interest in moving to Longmont. Residents of our amazing city know that there are so many reasons to linger longer!
Who is responsible for this great idea?
The Linger Longer in Longmont Calendar team is a group of local creatives, business owners, and community liaisons who decided that a calendar is a great way to highlight all that our community has to offer. We hope this calendar motivates you to join, celebrate, and plan with Longmont in mind.
