Call for Artists 2027

And we’re back! We are thrilled to announce the second annual Linger Longer in Longmont calendar! And once again we are calling all Longmont artists to submit original art work related to the 2027 theme: Agriculture!

Agriculture is the theme for the 2027 Linger Longer in Longmont Calendar

Longmont is proud of its agriculture roots and of all of the ways that we are still connected to the land today. In the 2027 edition, we will include a planting calendar, tidbits about Longmont’s agricultural history, quotes from local farmers, and much more! We ask artists to consider farms, gardens, local plants, insects, and farm animals when looking for inspiration. We can’t wait to see where this year’s theme takes you!

Guidelines & how to submit

• Deadline for submitting artwork: April 30, 2026
• One submission per artist.
• Open to artists 18 years of age and up.
• 2D artwork only. No photos of sculptures or 3D work.
• No blocks of text or extraneous writing. Artist signatures and location identification are fine.
• Artwork dimensions & format: 10.4” x 6”, 300dpi, PDF or JPG.

What each artist will receive if artwork is selected to appear in the calendar

• Cash prize! This year we are pleased to award $100 to each artist for their accepted piece.
• Artist’s work will be credited on the calendar, and a blurb about the artist and their work will be featured on our calendar website. If the artwork is available for purchase, we will happily list that information on the calendar website.
• Each artist will receive a free copy of the calendar.
